Decal Information

Historical Information
The USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVB/CVA/CV-42) was a Midway-class aircraft carrier built by the New York Navy Yard. Originally named Coral Sea, she was renamed in honor of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and commissioned on October 27, 1945, too late to participate in World War II.
Roosevelt became a frequent Sixth Fleet and NATO carrier and supported early U.S. carrier jet trials. She underwent major modernization, made her principal combat deployment during the Vietnam War in 1966–67, and conducted the first overseas operational carrier deployment of Marine AV-8A Harriers during her final cruise.
