This 1-3000 scale waterslide decal reproduces the deck markings for the CV-34 Oriskany during that period of time. Customers report that most decals fit Davco ship castings fairly well. Apply over a properly prepared and gloss-coated model surface using normal waterslide-decal techniques.

 

Historical Information

The USS Oriskany (CV-34) was an Essex-class fleet aircraft carrier operated by the United States Navy. She was one of 24 completed ships in the class from 32 ordered and was commissioned on September 25, 1950.

Built from the wartime Essex-class program, Oriskany entered service after World War II. Her principal operational history included combat deployments during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
