The USS Hancock (CV-19) was an Essex-class fleet aircraft carrier operated by the United States Navy. She was one of 24 completed ships in the class from 32 ordered and was commissioned on April 15, 1944.
Hancock served in Pacific operations. Her major assignments included the Philippines, Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and strikes against Japan.
