1-300 Tunisian Air Force Roundels Decals
These 1-300 Tunisian Air Force roundel decals reproduce the distinctive national aircraft marking based on Tunisia’s red-and-white colors with the crescent-and-star motif. The design closely reflects the symbolism of the Tunisian flag and has identified Tunisian military aircraft since the service developed after independence.

Historical Information
Tunisia regained independence from France in 1956, and the Tunisian Air Force was established in 1959. Its first aircraft arrived in 1960 and included Saab 91 Safir trainers. The service soon expanded with French and Italian equipment and entered the jet age during the mid-1960s.
Tunisian roundels appeared on aircraft including the Aermacchi MB-326, F-86F Sabre, SF.260, F-5E/F Tiger II, C-130 Hercules, Alouette helicopters, and later L-59 trainers. The F-5 became the country’s principal fighter during the later Cold War and remains one of the aircraft most closely associated with Tunisian military aviation.
The roundel therefore works well for collections covering both the early post-independence era and later Cold War North African aviation.
Exact marking size and placement changed with aircraft type and service period. Reference photographs are recommended when modeling a specific Tunisian aircraft, particularly early aircraft acquired from several different foreign suppliers.
