1-300 PAF Low Visibility Squadron Markings Decals
These 1-300 Pakistan Air Force Low Visibility Squadron Marking decals reproduce the subdued tactical insignia used by three of the Pakistan Air Force’s best-known fighter squadrons: the No. 5 Squadron “Falcons,” No. 9 Squadron “Griffins,” and No. 11 Squadron “Arrows.” The low-visibility designs are intended for modern combat aircraft where bright, full-color squadron emblems have been replaced by less conspicuous tactical markings. The sheet provides enough markings for 30 aircraft—10 Falcons, 10 Griffins, and 10 Arrows.

Historical Information
Low-visibility markings became increasingly common as modern air forces adopted gray camouflage schemes designed to reduce visual detection. Squadron insignia that had traditionally been displayed in bright colors were often rendered in subdued tones, allowing aircraft to retain their unit identity without compromising the overall tactical appearance.
The three squadrons represented on this sheet have particularly strong associations with the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
No. 11 Squadron “Arrows” became the first Pakistan Air Force squadron equipped with the F-16 in 1983, while No. 9 Squadron “Griffins” followed in 1984. Both became important front-line F-16 units during the final years of the Cold War.
No. 5 Squadron “Falcons” is one of the PAF’s oldest fighter units and has operated aircraft ranging from the Tempest II and F-86 Sabre to the F-104 Starfighter and Mirage III. It later transitioned to the F-16C/D Block 52+, continuing the squadron’s long association with Pakistan’s front-line fighter force.
No. 9 Squadron “Griffins” is one of the senior fighter squadrons of the PAF and has flown aircraft including the Tempest II, Sea Fury, F-104 Starfighter, Mirage 5, and F-16. No. 11 Squadron “Arrows” has an equally extensive history, operating the Supermarine Attacker, F-86 Sabre, Shenyang F-6, and F-16.
