Historical Information

After the end of the People's Republic, Hungary transformed its Soviet-oriented air force and later entered NATO while modernizing its equipment.

Traditional red-white-green markings were restored in the early 1990s, replacing communist red-star insignia and reconnecting modern aviation with pre-communist Hungarian heritage.

These markings are suitable for fighters, trainers, transports, and helicopters and are particularly appropriate for post-Cold War and modern Hungary.

Especially useful on transition-era former Warsaw Pact aircraft.
