1-144 WWII German Skeleton Balkenkreuz Thick White

This 1/144 scale decal sheet provides thick white skeleton-style Balkenkreuz markings for WWII German Luftwaffe aircraft. The open-center design gives the modeler a strong, visible national marking without covering the underlying camouflage with a solid cross.
 
Historical Background
The Luftwaffe used numerous Balkenkreuz variations during World War II. Outline-only or “skeleton” crosses were especially useful on camouflaged aircraft, where the contrasting lines remained visible while allowing the camouflage pattern to show through the center of the marking. Line width and proportions varied by aircraft, production period, and application.
