The Ottoman Empire's WWI air force, called the Ottoman Aviation Squadrons, was a small, underfunded. The force initially relied on Germany for most of it's planes. Germany transferred approximately 460 airplanes during the war. It also  incorporated captured or purchased planes from France (Caudron, Nieuport, Morane-Saulnier), Britain (de Havilland, Bristol Scout), and Russia (Grigorovich).
