Weser was the name associated with the proposed conversion of the incomplete German heavy cruiser Seydlitz into an aircraft carrier. Conversion work began in 1942 after the Kriegsmarine renewed interest in carrier aviation, but the project was halted in 1943 before completion. Weser never entered service as an aircraft carrier.
